About
MusiCamp Alberta is THE provincial overnight summer music experience. Faculty consist of world-class performers and teachers from professional ensembles who work with camp staff to cultivate artistry, discipline and an appreciation of music. Musical creativity is encouraged and we recognize the importance of each student.
MusiCamp Alberta offers an immersive musical experience second-to-none and a summer artistic and personal transformation that will last a lifetime. Practice time, faculty recitals, master classes, chamber music, rehearsals, performances and organized recreation activities complete the camp experience.
MusiCamp Alberta workshops are held in the Arts Centre at Red Deer Polytechnic in Red Deer, Alberta. This world-class performing arts facility is the perfect venue for musical success.
Students live in the residence facilities on campus which consist of apartment-style accommodations. Each suite contains 4 single bedrooms with locking doors, a bath and kitchen/living area. Housing is arranged by age, gender and program so you will room with other members of your ensemble.
The cafeteria will provide full meal service and can accommodate those with dietary restrictions.
It’s not just about music!
Our team of trained supervisors ensures that every student is safe and well taken care of, 24 hours a day. Recreation activities include campfires, skit nights, dances, and field games.
The supervisory team is made up of young adults who have a passion for music and working with youth. Many of them are even alumni of MusiCamp themselves! The “supes” are the heart and soul of MusiCamp!
If you’re interested in applying to be a supervisor, you can e-mail a resume and cover letter to musicampdirector@gmail.com. Applicants must be at least 19 years old and have been away from the program for at least one year. Supervisor positions for this summer have been filled.
